Experience the true essence of the Karoo by staying  at 18 on Mark.  Our location offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility, with shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. 

Dedicated to sustainability, 18 on Mark operates almost completely off the power grid. Our units are designed with energy efficiency in mind.  We don’t have air conditioning or heaters, but we do provide fans and electric blankets.  We also use treated borehole water, ensuring you have fresh drinking water available.

At 18 on Mark, you can choose between two types of accommodation: a well-equipped, self-catering cottage (Lavender Cottage) which sleeps 2 adults or a small family (maximum 2 children), and a cozy stopover suite (Blue Gum Suite) suitable for an individual or couple. Welcome to Lavender Cottage, the ideal retreat for 2-4 guests! This spacious self-catering getaway features a cozy bedroom with a queen bed, a modern bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the inviting living area with WiFi and a fireplace. Outside, relax in your private garden with a patio, braai facilities, and a splash pool. We’re pet-friendly for small to medium dogs (max 2) and offer secure parking for your peace of mind. Experience comfort and tranquility at Lavender Cottage!

Blue Gum Suite

Welcome to The Blue Gum Suite, your ideal overnight stopover! This private room features a cozy double bed and relaxing wingback chairs. The en-suite bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower. Enjoy refreshments with a table, kettle, and microwave, plus complimentary coffee, tea, milk, and basic cutlery & crockery. Free WiFi. Pet Friendly

Lavender Cottage is equipped to welcome small to medium-sized dogs, making it easy for you to enjoy your stay with your furry friends! We allow 1-2 dogs per booking, provided they are house trained and have their own bedding as we do not permit sleeping on, or in, beds or on the furniture. Bring your well-behaved companion along for the adventure, and let them explore the beauty of the surroundings while you relax in our welcoming space.
